LACRA is lo-fi wanderer, with puzzle and psychological horror elements that tasks the player with exploring the surface of an infinite looping wasteland planet dotted with ruins, mega structures, anomalies, and other entities. The atmosphere of LACRA aims to invoke a sense of isolation and loneliness while mechanically indulging player curiosity as they explore and unveil the lore of the world, and the story behind their existence. The player can instantiate events that can bring on feelings of nervous tension as well as finding calming, and tranquil areas. Ambient drones, hollow noise, ethereal tones, will accompany the geometric structures and surreal beings; splashed with intense visual and audio fluctuations and effects.
A more detailed explanation of my design choices will be written upon its completion and posted after release. Screen shots may be posted on occasion but for the most part I want to keep with project shrouded in mystery.
I began working on this a few weeks back in between working on The Dezert and I’m aiming to release it for free online with in the next few months depending on time.
